What is WordCamp?

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress.

WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.

Earlier last year The WordCamp Incubator Program has selected Montevideo, Uruguay and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to host WordCamps in 2018. The program provides a jump start for new WordPress communities where meetups have not yet been well-established. Montevideo and Kota Kinabalu were selected from a short list of 14 communities that had been whittled down from 104 applications for the program.(LINK HERE).

After some careful planning WordCamp Kota Kinabalu will finally happen in March 9th, 2019! It will have onetrack of presentations, with around 10-15 speakers. Ticket price will include access to all presentations, coffee & breakfast, a group lunch, and an event t-shirt.

WordCamp is a global event

WordCamps happen all over the world! WordCamp Kota Kinabalu is so excited to join the circle this year!

Run by volunteers

All WordCamp organizers and speakers are volunteers. Ticket prices help pay for the cost of the event, but the majority of funding is provided by our generous sponsors.
